Aerial View

The Aerial View enables overall preview and navigation in zoom mode when the drawing area is larger than the client area. In the Aerial View you always see a preview of the whole drawing area and the visible client area is enclosed by a frame. You can change the position of this frame (and so change the visible part of the drawing area) by a left mouse click in the Aerial View with subsequent mouse move (while leaving the left mouse button pressed).

You can also configure the Aerial View in the context menu called by right mouse click in the Aerial View. The available options are:

Endless frame - if checked, the frame occupies the entire non-client area of the drawing area. Such frame cannot blink.

Blinking frame - if checked, the frame is blinking by periodically changing color to enhance its visibility.

Halftone dithering - select here a preferred stretching algorithm. Halftoning gives a smooth result, but can be washed-out for some types of drawings. The halftoning is not available under old Windows versions (Win9x/Me).

Translucent - the Aerial View can be translucent, so you still view the drawing under it. It is useful mainly in Full Screen mode. You can quickly switch on/off the translucency by pressing the middle mouse button in the Aerial View. To change the translucency level, use the mouse wheel (either when the mouse cursor is over the Aerial View or when the Aerial View has focus - this depends on the Redirect mouse wheel along cursor position option available in the Control section of the Preferences dialog).

No title - if checked, the Aerial View has no title bar. To move it in this mode with a mouse use the gray part of the Aerial View (if any present) or use the Shift key modifier.

Show always - if checked, the Aerial View is displayed permanently, even if it is not needed. Normally, the Aerial View is displayed only in zoom mode.
